TEACHER'S DAY SPEECH - 2018

Good evening to all of YOU!

We gathered here to celebrate the special occasion - The Teachers' Day. It gives me immense pleasure to be here and to talk about the main personalities of the day, our teachers.
Every year we celebrate 5th September as Teachers' Day in memory of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a Teacher and also one of the successful Presidents of India.
While growing up, the only person we tend to respect after our parents, are our teachers. Because the greatest lessons are learned in the classroom.
They act as second mothers to all students.
Teachers are also the guides who play an important role in transforming a student into a responsible citizen. Their contribution is not only limited to the classroom but it extends to society and country.

The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book. Thank you for being a wonderful teacher. You are not only a wonderful teacher but also friend, philosopher and guide.

"It takes a big heart to help shape little minds."

At last but not the least just wanted to say how we are grateful to have been your student.

Thank you for explaining things until we understand.
Thank you for making us do our best.
Thank you for being our teacher.
Thank you for sharing your gift of teaching with us!
Thank you for moulding us into worthy people to face the world boldly.
